The St. Croix Area United Way has arranged for the Charities Review =
Council to conduct a half-day workshop that can help nonprofits be more =
accountable to their constituents, and help foundation staffs better =
evaluate grant seeking organizations' abilities to deliver on their =
proposals.
The workshop touches on all aspects of nonprofit accountability. This =
includes how the Council staff evaluates a charity and how you can spot =
problem indicators -- based on real life examples -- in the areas of =
Disclosure, Governance, Financial Activity and Fund-raising ethics.
The St. Croix Area United Way will pay for any funded agency executive =
director who would like to attend. Agencies sending additional staff =
would have to pay a fee of $50 per person. =20
