You are cordially invited to the Sixth Annual African Peace Festival June 12
noon to 7pm at Matthews Park.
This is our most challenging but successful effort to empower and connect
with our African immigrant community. It is an event that provides substance to
our community outreach that does more than just talk about welcoming
diversity but is a safe and wonderful place to share and understand our different
cultures.
This is also a great event for towers residents to meet each other.
It has been very interesting to work with folks from 16 different nations to
put together this wonderful celebration of culture. This is a completely non
profit event put together by volunteer organizers. The music represents a
geographical cross section of African Music featuring: Innocent, Shalita,
SunPlu'gd, Toureg, An Ethiopian Jazz Band, Congolese Soukous and more. All are
invited.
Thanks,
