I am in the process of upgrading to the latest version from 2.12 - only to find that the computer had a couple of copies of e-base from when someone tried to network the computers. I put the latest e-base that we want onto my flash drive it has 4555 contacts. Once I cleaned up the C drive and deleted all the old e-base files I copied the files from my flash drive to the C drive and it only has 4429 contacts. I have now done this 3 times with the same results, I have double checked that the 2 drives contain the same files and they are the same size - the problem still exists!! I am pulling my hair out - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've not run into this type of problem before. If the files are all in one folder and that folder is moved to a new location, all the data should remain the same. If there had been any problems due to having more than one copy of ebase on the computer, it would show up in the data, and any subsequent copies. I'm thinking there has to be something else at work here. I would make double & triple certain that there are no other copies of any . 200 (ebase) files on the C (or any other attached/shared drive) on the computer.
