News/Announcements
Democratic Candidates Answer Questions from the Public on
Washingtonpost.com Each Democratic candidate for president will be live
online at Washingtonpost.com throughout the week of November 3 to field
questions from the general public. Advocates can use the online
discussions to ask candidates their views on housing issues, educate
them about policies needed to end the affordable housing crisis in
America, and let them know that housing is an issue important to voters.
For more information and a schedule of discussions, please
www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/liveonline/politics/candidates/. In
addition, questions and comments to President Bush regarding housing
policy can be submitted to White House Web Mail

Star Tribune Editorial: Worker housing/Marshall model worth noting As a
follow up to an article published Oct. 23rd documenting the significant
affordable housing contributions of local employers, the Star Tribune
editors applaud the efforts of employers striving to meet the housing
needs of their employees. They conclude that employer assistance is not
the complete answer to addressing the need for affordable housing in
Minnesota: "Three legs -- public, nonprofit and private -- support a
lot that is worth doing in Minnesota. When the Legislature saws one of
those legs shorter, whole enterprises teeter. Greater effort by the
nonprofit and private sectors can stabilize things, and should be
commended. But any legislator who thinks that because Schwan's is doing
more for affordable housing, government can do still less, is thinking
wrong." http://www.startribune.com/stories/561/4187490.html =20

a $2 donation is suggested. The last day of the exhibition is November
15th. For more information about Photographic Justice, a new
