Here's the lowdown: * Women in Science Panel: Fox 9 Meteorologist Janie Peterson, and scientists from the U of M and Lockheed Martin, will talk about their lives as scientists and answer audience questions. 11:30am and 1:30pm. * Catherine Thimmesh: The local author will read selections from her book, Girls Think of Everything. 12:30pm. * Mary Shelley: Meet the original author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley, and take part in our interactive, multi-media Frankenstein exhibit. 11:00am-3:00pm. * Student Docents: Student Docents from Jefferson Elementary will portray famous women in science. 11:00am-12:30pm * Hands-On Activities: 10:00am-4:00pm. * Playing with Polymers Mix up a batch of ooey, gooey polymers! * Make a Thermometer Use common supplies to make a simple version of a thermometer! * Create an Electric Fish Use our supplies to create your own electric fish!
