The funding from IHS has come in! This means we can begin planning our third project meeting. Please consider the following dates and let me know ASAP if either of them do not work with your schedule. The meeting will last 2 days and an optional site visit will be held on a 3rd day. The FVPF will pay for 2 people from every team to attend, and additional people may attend out of your individual budgets. We are hoping to hold the meeting in Choctaw, MS assuming that the timing works with the Choctaw team and hotel. May 26-28, 2004 June 2-4, 2004 2. The fourth and final report was due on Feb. 15, so please complete this and return to Vibhuti ASAP. Contact Vibhuti (Vibhuti@endabuse.org ) if you need a copy of the report form. 3. National Conference on Health Care and Domestic Violence: October 22-23, 2004 with pre-conference session on AI/AN communities October 21, 2004 For those of you interested in submitting a workshop proposal, the deadline is Feb. 26, 2004. All submission information is online: www.endabuse.org/health/conference . Workshops are 1.5 hours in length and I would recommend that people team up and co-present. Unfortunately this is the same time the MS DV Coalition is having their statewide meeting and all of the Choctaw advocates will be gone. This is critical since we will be doing a site visit/training at Choctaw during our visit. I'm proposing two dates, one of which was offered before, but is still a possibility. Please let me know if either do not work, or if one is better than the other. Many of you responded that the May date was better, but only Brenda Hill & Montell Elliott said that the June 2-4 date is unworkable. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of dates to work with! June 2-3-4 (June 2-3 is project meeting; June 4th is optional Choctaw site visit/training) June 9-10-11 (June 9-10 is project meeting; June 11th is optional Choctaw site visit/training) Please let me know your thoughts.
