Hello Everyone:

Lily and I are working with the Marriott Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico 
to finalize our contract for the upcoming project meeting: April 3-4, 2003. 
 Logistical information about your hotel and travel should be sent out next 
week.

Attached is a preliminary outline of some issues and strategies we are 
considering exploring at the next meeting.  Please review them and let me 
know which ones are of most interest to you; are of least interest; and any 
other topics that may be missing.  Consider which topics would help you 
best reach your project goals and further move the project in your 
healthcare facility.

2. Health Effects of DV: (screening for DV within the context of other 
health issues like diabetes, substance abuse, obesity, etc.)
3. OB/GYN issues
4. Sexual Assault
5. HIV/AIDS and domestic violence

Strategies/Tools:

6. Dental screening/issues screening in their dental clinics.
7. Mandatory reporting: Further discussion
8. IHS Eval/GPRA
9. Protocol break-out: 1 on development and 1 on workplace
10. Public Education break-out: 1 on Health Cares About Domestic Violence 
Day planning, and 1 on material development
11. Healthcare based DV advocacy: possible presentation from Warm Springs, 
& Crownpoint
12. White manual rewrite working group: The project faculty are working 
together to revise the white manual to better address AI/AN communities and 
healthcare facilities.  Feedback from project participants is vital to the 
success of this rewrite.
