From lily@endabuse.org" Dear Project Sites: IHS has announced 2004 funds for research and evaluation (R & E) projects. The application deadline is March 7, 2003. The submission dates for the FY 2004 proposals were changed to assure a more timely allocation of funding for approved projects. All proposals that are submitted as part of this process should address the IHS/Tribal/Urban (I/T/U) budget, the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA) priorities, and/or the Agency and Administration Initiatives. We are planning to submit a proposal on behalf of this project (the IHS/ACF Domestic Violence Pilot Project) to support evaluation and the compilation of materials that you all are developing through this project. This will enable us to distribute the good work of this project to other I/T/U healthcare facilities -- which helps IHS meet their GIPRA goals on domestic violence. If awarded it will also then provide funds so we can more thoroughly address the evaluation at a meeting in the fall of 2003 and/or a meeting at the end of the project. This project would be under the auspices of one of the pilot sites which has not yet been determined. If your site is intereted in applying for this funding, either related to domestic violence, or to evaluate some other health issue, we encourage you to do so as well.
